Terms of Service
Last updated November 2, 2026
TollProof is operated by Owen Willis, an individual based in New Jersey, USA ("we", "us"). When you use TollProof you are contracting with Owen Willis. By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms.
The service
TollProof helps drivers log toll crossings (manually or by GPS), import E-ZPass and similar statements, compare logged tolls against charges, and draft dispute letters. The free plan includes manual logging, manual charge entry, reconciliation and dispute letters. The Pro plan adds GPS auto-detection and statement imports.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, or of legal age where you live.
- Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse TollProof, including by:
- using it for anything unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive, including submitting false dispute claims;
- sending spam or abusive content;
- infringing anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
- interfering with security, spreading malware, probing for vulnerabilities, or scraping the service;
- reverse engineering, reselling, or getting around usage limits or plan restrictions.
Do not use TollProof while it distracts you from driving safely. Set it up before you drive.
Your content
You keep ownership of the trip logs, statements and other data you add. You give us a limited licence to store and process that data only to provide the service to you.
AI-drafted letters
Dispute letters are drafted by an AI model from the details you provide. They may contain mistakes. Review and correct every letter before you send it. You are responsible for what you submit to a toll agency or rideshare platform. TollProof does not provide legal advice and cannot guarantee any refund or outcome.
Accuracy of toll data
GPS detection, default toll rates and statement parsing may be incomplete or wrong. Always check results against your official statements.
Intellectual property
We own TollProof, including its software, documentation, design and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your plan.
Payments and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, renewal, tax, cancellation and refund terms are set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms. Pro subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the Plan page, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. See our Refund Policy.
Service level
We work to keep TollProof available and accurate but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is", without implied warranties such as merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or unrecovered toll charges. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
Indemnity
You agree to cover claims against us that arise from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access for a material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using TollProof and delete your account at any time. When access ends, you can ask us to export your data within 30 days, after which we may delete it.
Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are significant we will tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using TollProof after a change, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA. Disputes will be handled by the state or federal courts in New Jersey, unless the law where you live gives you other rights. Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
